Although we have been quiet over the past months, the HDT Foundation has been working hard to raise funds for a Randomized Clinical Trial on the use of Vitamin B1 in Parkinson’s Disease. Parallel to the GoFundMe campaign, that has seen so many incredible contributions from patients, friends and collaborators, whom we wish to thank again so much, we had several exchanges and discussions with funding institutions and private donors.
While we did make some progress, there still is a long way ahead. Most notably, we made contacts with a Consortium of potential donors who might be interested in joining forces to put forward the research on the effects of the HDT protocol on Patients with Parkinson. That is exciting news, but we are not quite there yet.
There have been long discussions with many potential donors in the past, but to date still no one has been interested enough or willing to risk enough and give a chance to our research and therapy. We do have secured funding for a dissemination activity that will take place over the summer, and one crucial part of this campaign will be the production of a documentary film on the HDT therapy, its history and results on patients to show donors that there is people out there already using the therapy and that they find it beneficial.
This is when YOU come to play. We believe it would be extremely impactful if the documentary film could include your testimony as patients, caregivers, and even that of your neurologists if possible.
We would be looking for patients based in Italy and the USA for in-person interviews, and for patients in other countries for remote interviews too.
Please, if interested in contributing with your success story to sparking the interest of donors to fund a gold-label study on HDT and PD, write a message to:
